FEEL BLESSED BECAUSE NGOs ARE THERE!!
If we talk about the 1960’s, Parents were treated well and
importance was given to such old age people. Their children used to respect
them and obey the decisions taken for the whole family.
But now things are changed, it’s totally opposite, today
when parents reach their old age, they are considered as a waste of the house,
and they are driven out, basically thrown out of the house, yes it is not
fortunate at all but it is the reality of our community. If we go according to
the data, then there are 85% of people who are not living with their parents
and have sent them to old age homes.
Children, who use to send their parents to old age homes
don’t realize that these senior citizens face a drought of love and care as
their children abandon them.
We as non for profit organization works for the public and
helpless people.
Our team of Kerala recently visited an old age home, to
serve them with a good meal, and make them happy.
Their one smile is very precious to us, offering them with
meal and snack, we just ask for the smiles and their blessings in return.
Somehow we are happy to have these old age homes as old
people can share their family stories with each other, and NGO can help them
and can get blessed more.
Some of the stories of old people are attached, please go
through the link, we are sure you will be happy to see our work.
Just a note, love and respect old age people because you are
aging too.
